Professor Kondratowicz is an economist. He is a founding member of the Association of Polish Economists (currently a member of the Board of TEP and formerly Vice-Chair of the Board of TEP), and a member of the board at the Adam Smith Research Center in Warsaw. He is also a member of various professional organizations, including “Poland 2000 Plus” Forecast Committee by the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), the Economic Freedom of the World Network of the Fraser Institute (Vancouver, Canada), the International Society for New Institutional Economics (ISNIE).

Professor Kondratowicz is a recipient of scholarships from various organizations, including NATO, the Kosciuszko Foundation, the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), and the Körber-Stiftung Foundation (Germany). He completed the Salzburg Seminar in American Studies and was a Visiting Professor at the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK.

He has written numerous publications on capitalism and state intervention in the development of free market economy, including a book Wolność gospodarcza. Pomiar, percepcja, zmiany instytucjonalne (Economic Freedom. Measurement, Perception, Institutional Changes) published by the Association of Polish Economists (2013).

At SWPS University, he teaches economics, the analysis of economic potential, and Polish-international cooperation.
