The history of women in the US military goes back to the Revolutionary War, although at the time their participation in the war effort was often clandestine and unacknowledged. For the first time women were allowed to officially enlist in the army during World War I. On March 8th, the International Women’s Day, SWPS University will have the honor to host US Army Captain Elizabeth L. Evans, who will talk about Women in the US Military Forces.
