Office of the English and Polish Preparatory Schools
The Office of the English and Polish Preparatory Schools is a unit of the Center for Professional Education at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Office is responsible for the organization of English and Polish language courses at various levels of proficiency, at SWPS University. Currently, language courses and preparatory schools are available in Warsaw, Wrocław and Poznań.
The Office is also authorized to conduct State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language (issued by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education) at the B1, B2, and C1 level.

English & Polish Courses
English and Polish courses and preparatory schools
We offer one- and two-semester English and Polish language courses and preparatory schools, at all proficiency levels from A0 to C2. Our course participants have an opportunity to:
- Work in small groups (5-14 people)
- Receive course handbooks included in the price of the course
- Have their level of language proficiency precisely evaluated and be placed in a group ensuring optimal learning outcomes.
- Learn from professional, well-qualified and experienced lecturers
- Receive a certificate confirming the level of language proficiency, after a successfully passing of the language examination
- Learn about Polish history and culture during additional events and activities available to the participants of our language courses and preparatory schools
- Be a part of a multicultural environment and be able to practice language skills outside of the classroom
Supporting services for participants of our language courses and preparatory schools:
- International Office, which provides comprehensive support for international students, course participants and scholars, such as assistance in finding accommodation or legalization of stay in Poland.
- SWPS University International Community on Facebook, where students can find information on many events, activities and student initiatives.
- The library of SWPS University, which holds over 88,000 volumes on a variety of subjects, including psychology, sociology, cultural studies, political studies, philology and language studies, and many other disciplines; several hundreds of Polish and foreign periodicals and academic journals, in paper and electronic format as well as an extensive collection of feature films and documentaries.

Summer Schools
Summer Language Schools
The Office offers Summer English and Polish Language Schools. Summer Schools are addressed to candidates who need to quickly improve their language competencies.
During our Language Summer Schools we focus on developing all language skills, including speaking, comprehension, reading, writing and grammar. Learn about Polish history and culture during additional events and activities available to the participants of our language courses and preparatory schools.
The courses are addressed to beginners and to candidates who wish to further develop their language skills. We also help students whose language competencies are at A2 level to achieve fluency indispensable at the academic or professional level.
Summer Language Schools are offered at all levels of proficiency, from A1 to C1.

Polish Language Certificate
State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language
Having a State Certificate confirming fluency in the Polish language is a formal requirement in the process of applying for a Polish citizenship. The Certificate is also an asset for foreigners who wish to work in Poland.
SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of very few institutions in Poland authorized to conduct State Certification Examination in Polish as a Foreign Language.

Preparatory courses for the State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language
Our Office offers preparatory courses for the State Certificate Examinations in Polish as a Foreign Language at the B1 level (35 hours).
During the course, participants practice all language skills required by the State to receive the Polish language proficiency certificate. Additionally, students become familiar with the format of the exam and the type questions they can expect. They practice writing the exam and acquire the missing language skills.

Polish Language Evening Course
Whether you already speak some Polish or are just a begginer, you can improve your langauge skills by enrolling in our Polish Language Evening Course, offered at four skill levels, namely: A0, A1, B1, and B2.
Polish for Medical Professionals
This course is addressed to medical professionals who hold medical diplomas from other countries and wish to practice medicine in Poland. The course prepares participants for exams at the Supreme Medical Chamber of Poland.
